Questions about one of ED's tools/coils

edited September 15 in Edward Leedskalnin

I have a question about the coil in Ed's workshop. Has anyone analyzed it while they were there? I'm interested to know what length and diameter it is, type of wire is around it, whether it's wrapped around an iron pipe, and if it is covered with cloth or paper. Additionally, is there a wire coming out from the center, or where do the coil ends go? Does it appear to fit inside the pipe next to his generator?

  • the coil form is heavy gauge cardboard tube. the wire is 1/8" square drawn copper. loops on end to bolt it to a contact. I dont believe it was for generator. it might fit down the vertical tube on the generator but it would just short out. I believe it was for radio experiments
