This foundational resource establishes where we got the idea of a electric current from, Inthe ontext of 2 hitherto static fluids .
Faraday amongst others was able to demonstrate these 2 currents in a fluid medium in his study of his mentors work on electrolysis. He proposed the word ions to describe these material corpuscles migrating in fluids. These ions were not solely corpuscles of the electric fluids, but contained some notion ofthe anode and cathode materials.
At this time the magnetic character of electrolysis was ignored . But now the vortices are most clearly demo strafed in electrolytic baths. . .
